Approving Access

When you connect an AI app, it opens an approval screen from NeonNow in your browser. This is where you confirm who the app will act as, which organisation it can reach, and whether it can change agents or only read. Nothing is shared with the app until you select Allow Access.

Before You Start

  • Start the connection from your AI app first, as described in Connecting an AI App. The approval screen only works when the AI app opens it.
  • You need the Admin or Organisation Admin role in the organisation you want to connect. See Roles and Permissions.

Approving a Connection

  1. Sign in. If you aren't already signed in to NeonNow, sign in first. The screen then shows "App name Wants to Connect to Agentic" and states that the app will act as your email address in the organisation you choose.
  2. Check the account. The footer shows Signed in as and your email address. If this is the wrong account, select Switch Account to sign out and sign in as someone else.
  3. Check the app. Next to the app's name, a Verified or Unverified label shows whether NeonNow recognises the app, and Returns to shows the website you will be sent back to.
  4. Choose an organisation. Under Organisation, select the organisation to connect. Organisations where you aren't an Admin or Organisation Admin are shown greyed out with Needs Admin access and can't be chosen. If only one organisation is available, it is already selected. The selected organisation shows which environments it includes, for example "Includes Production, UAT and 1 more, plus any created later".
  5. Choose the access. Under Permissions, the app can always read: Can view agents, performance, sessions and transcripts. If the app asked to build as well, a second row, Can build and manage agents, has a toggle. Leave it on to give Read and Write access, or turn it off to give Read Only access. If the app only asked to read, the toggle isn't shown and the connection is Read Only.
  6. Read the notice about transcripts and personal information under the permissions.
  7. Select Allow Access. The button shows Connecting... while the connection is made.

To stop without connecting, select Cancel.

Read Only and Read and Write

AccessWhat the app can do
Read OnlyView agents, performance, sessions and transcripts. It can't change anything.
Read and WriteEverything in Read Only, plus create, edit, enable, disable and test agents. It can't delete agents, change Twilio, routing, wrap or capacity settings, or see secrets or API keys.

The full lists are on What Connected Apps Can Do.

Check unverified apps

An Unverified app hasn't been confirmed by NeonNow, and its name is whatever the app called itself. Only continue if you started this connection yourself and recognise the website shown next to Returns to.

What Happens Next

You're Connected

The browser shows "You're Connected" and returns you to the AI app after a few seconds. Select Return to App name to go back straight away, or Open Agentic to go to the Admin app instead. The connection now appears in your Connected Apps list under Account Settings > Security.

Connection Cancelled

Shown after you select Cancel. Nothing was shared with the app, and you are returned to it. To connect later, start again from the AI app.
